Volunteer At OUTLoud

Give Your Time to Support the Kids and Our Safe Space

Requirements to Volunteer at OUTLoud:

A vulnerable sector check from the North Bay police, if you live in North Bay. (Apply online here).

If you live on the outskirts or outside of North Bay please use the OPP vulnerable sector check. (Apply online here).

Time Commitment

We run two volunteer shifts per day:

  • 3:30pm-6:30pm
  • 6:30pm-9:30pm

We need volunteers to commit to one shift a week, which adds up to 12 hours per month. Our scheduling co-ordinator makes sure there are at least two adults at our location for each shift.

What’s Involved?

We provide orientation and a handbook for volunteers. You’re given a tour of the space and an outline of what to expect when you volunteer at OUTLoud: for the most part you’re supervising and engaging with the kids, cleaning the space, and running the canteen.

We offer training as opportunities arise: mental health, first aid, duty to report, etc.

Youth Volunteers

We have a team of youth volunteers to help the adults out every day. Students can get their needed volunteer hours here.

Have a Hobby or a Special Skill?

The kids love anything you can teach them. They especially love Art Escape (our version of art therapy), crafts, etc.
